The very observant may have noticed we have made a few housekeeping changes lately: Our URL has changed from ‘whatyouthinkmatters’ to ‘thinktheology’ and the Newfrontiers branding has been removed from the site. These changes reflect wider changes that are happening in the Newfrontiers family of churches and the way we communicate in the public sphere.

As is already made clear on the About Us page,

This blog was set up by a group of pastors who enjoy spending time wrestling with deep theological questions and helping others to engage with them. Essentially we are a bunch of thinkers and writers who are passionate about the Church, and think that what you – and we – think matters. When we blog here at thinktheology, we’re not expressing any official position for a particular denomination or stream of churches – that’s why we think it’s OK to disagree with each other about important things.

This has never been an ‘official’ mouthpiece of Newfrontiers (despite what some of our commenters assume!), firstly because that has never really been the way Newfrontiers operates anyway, and secondly, because none of us who write here have the authority to represent anyone in an official capacity.

Now that Newfrontiers has devolved into a number of interlinked families (see Andrew’s helpful post explaining this) it becomes even more impossible (and undesirable) for this blog to seek to represent the family as a whole. Hence the changes. The views reflected in our posts really are our own. We hope they might have some influence, but there is absolutely no thought hegemony that governs what we write.

Hopefully those of you who visit regularly will barely have noticed these changes, because our change of URL shouldn’t have messed up your bookmarks or RSS feed. There will be some more changes in 2013, but hopefully these will serve only to make things easier and better. We just hope you find it worth keeping on coming back to the site.
