The Genealogy of Genderfluidity
Carl Trueman gave a remarkable lecture at RTS a couple of months ago, entitled “Acknowledging the Unacknowledged Legislators: From William Wordsworth to Kim Kardashian.” I can’t think of any talk I’ve heard that so clearly traces the developments that have shaped our genderfluid moment, via Coleridge, Blake, Marx, Freud and the rest; it is stimulating, provocative, fluent and humorous.
