THINK Conference 2013 with N. T. Wright: Paul and the Cross of Christ
This year, on 23 May 2013, we will be considering the topic, “Paul and the Cross of Christ”. In three plenary sessions, we will explore Paul’s theology of the cross against the background of ancient religion, philosophy and empire, with an opportunity for discussion and questions after each session.
We are delighted to welcome Tom Wright, Research Professor of New Testament and Early Christianity at St Andrews, as our guest speaker. A lifelong churchman, world-leading New Testament scholar and prolific author, Tom is one of the most influential Christian writers alive today, and is soon to publish the fourth volume of his magisterial series on Christian origins, Paul and the Faithfulness of God. As well as the three main sessions on Paul and the cross, there will be an extended interview with Tom, in which we will have an opportunity to ask related questions about Paul and New Testament theology as a whole.
To facilitate as much discussion as possible, numbers will be limited to two hundred delegates, so early booking is advisable. We are also asking if questions for the interview session can be submitted in advance, so we can make the best possible use of the time. The cost per delegate is £20.
