Best of the Rest w/e 10 May 2013

We hope you enjoy this week's round up of the Best of the Rest of the web. It seems to have been a good week.

It all started with an article that caused significant numbers of people on my timeline to tweet “I don’t often agree with Giles Fraser, but he’s spot on about #euthanasia”

In response, Russell Moore wrote this perceptive piece: “I hope my children never have to sacrifice for their father when I’m elderly. But, if they do, I pray I’ll be Christlike enough to crucify my pride and receive their love.”

Speaking of love: This kind of love doesn’t exist, does it? Powerful stuff from Phil Whittall and Wycliffe Bible translators.

And if that stirred your heart for the unreached, take a look at this map. It is a huge challenge to the way we think about world mission.

Last night, Andrew tweeted this article with an equally moving story, from much closer to home.

And finally, a brilliant, secular article on same sex marriage: “Either opinion isn’t changing as fast as it appears, or society isn’t as free.”

So we’ve had a slightly different focus than usual for this week’s links, but for some reason, these are just the things which caught our eyes. WHat have you seen and appreciated? Why not share it in the comments?

See you next week.
