Blogging in an Age of Crayons

Apparently half of the top 10 best-selling evangelical books are now adult colouring books. If blogging is to remain a relevant medium in this bizarre age, it must follow suit. So henceforth I shall only blog in interactive hand-drawn pictures, which can be printed out and coloured to your heart's content.

I’m sure I will receive push back from some of you for this radical decision, especially those of you for whom my blogs are the most expertly-written pieces of prose that ever cross your line of sight. But it is a missional decision. “Though I am free to use words, I will make myself a slave to the crayon-people, to win as many as possible. To the colourers I become a colourer to win the colourers, so that by all possible means I might save some.”

Or as Francis of Assisi might have said, “Preach the gospel at all times; when necessary, use pictures.”

Anyway. Away with the words. See below. Print, colour, tweet it to @ststuffedshirt, and the best attempt will win a copy of my forthcoming book: “Drawing Theological Lines, and then Colouring Between Them.”
